Groups

Small Groups

These groups are often mixed ages and stages of life. The groups meet for 12-15 weeks and typically function by practicing our core Practices: Exploring God's word; Communicating through prayer; Journeying together by meeting consistently (weekly or 2/month); Serving outside their group and seeking to demonstrate God's love to each other and to the world; and Celebrating what God has done by intentionally planning fun nights/times together.

Small groups re-open or begin and end three times per year - January, May, and Sept. - though some groups remain open and can be found by clicking here.

Supper Groups

We seasonally offer Supper Groups for people to get connected to others in or near their neighborhood. These groups are geographic based and gather for eight consecutive weeks to share a POTLUCK meal in someone’s home where they have the opportunity to share life stories and get to know others in the DCC community. These groups are not Bible studies, prayer groups, nor focused around a certain curriculum.

Winter Semester:

  • Jan 3-29: Sign-ups
  • Jan 17: Host Orientation at 9-10:30am at DCC
  • Jan 24: Host Orientation at 9-10:30am at DCC
  • Feb 7-Apr 3: Supper Groups are meeting (8 weeks)
  • Apr 4 (week of): Hosts and Participants fill out surveys

 

Summer Semester:

  • May 2-23: Sign-ups
  • May 16: Host Orientation at 10-11:15am at DCC
  • May 23: Host Orientation at 10-11:15am at DCC
  • Jun 6-Jul 31: Supper Groups are meeting (8 weeks)
  • Aug 1 (week of): Hosts and Participants fill out surveys

 

Fall Semester:

  • Sep 5-Oct 1: Sign-ups
  • Sep 19: Host Orientation at 10-11:15am at DCC
  • Sep 26: Host Orientation at 10-11:15am at DCC
  • Oct 10-Dec 4: Supper Groups are meeting (8 weeks)
