Mission Statement: DCC is a community of people who are changing lives locally through building caring relationships that demonstrate the love of God to all people.
John 13:34-35: “A new command I give to you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.”
International ministry at DCC is built on God's many commands to love and serve our brothers and sisters, both believers and non-believers alike. As Christians, we are called to care for fellow humans and to help those in need. At DCC we have done this through partnering with various international organizations. The desire of Access is to learn to live and breath incarnational presence right here in the Mile High City. We deliberately spend time with the marginalized and overlooked of our city through partnering with the ministries of Network Coffee House and Joshua Station.
We’ve found that this prayerful presence within the hard places of our city leads us toward increased honesty about the personal hard places within our own lives. It seems God’s ongoing invitation to join his work on the margins parallels the invitation to join his transformative work of deepening our own likeness to Christ.
Access is a spiritual formation community that meets weekly to practice an action/reflection rhythm of learning that has us both praying together in community as well as spending time on the streets. We also host churches and campus ministries on service journeys in which groups spend a week in inner city Denver volunteering their time and energy to be present with those on the margins of Denver.

My heart for seeing the Lord's people meet the needs of their neighbors really started to develop when I was living in South Africa on staff with Campus Crusade for Christ. There I worked with college students, challenging them to see and meet the needs of their city. It was incredible to see God use His people to live with, comfort, love, and care for each other. When I returned home I felt called to do the same here in Denver.
For the last two years I've worked as a spokesperson for the needs of our city and have created opportunities for individuals and other faith communities to demonstrate God's to our community. I've also been the campaign lead for Denver's initiative to eradicate malaria deaths with the Ten Thousand Nets Campaign.
In addition to my role in the campaign I am the Denver Justice Conference Coordinator for the city. The Denver Justice Conference offers two days of training on how to actively respond to local injustices. Diverse churches and non-profits, through the DJC, equip and empower individuals and communities to identify and respond to the most pressing issues in our city.
It's a blessing to dream big with God and know He is working in our city. I am excited to continue in this role and follow the Lord as he guides and directs me in this Journey as Community Advocate.
Amanda requests prayer for:
- Please pray that I would finish raising my financial support for the year.
- Pray for the ten thousand nets campaign. Pray that our city would connect with why we are fighting against this senseless disease.
- Pray for Denver Justice Conference.
- Pray that families and individuals would continue to use their gifting and passions to connect with the needs of our city.

Ali fell in love with service and cross-cultural ministry on a 2-week mission trip to La Paz, Bolivia in high school. Since then she has continued to serve the poor here in the U.S. as well as abroad. God continues to prove his incredible love and faithfulness as Ali seeks to follow his calling toward a life of ministry alongside the "least of these".
In September 2010, Ali moved to South Los Angeles to begin a 2-year internship with an urban ministry called Servant Partners. The internship started off with a 3-week trip to a Manila slum to learn and observe what slum ministry is all about. She is now living with other interns and putting down roots in a poor neighborhood in South L.A. In this season, Ali is working part-time at a coffee shop, continuing to study the scriptures with her team, and learning so much through the children's ministry of her local church. The upcoming season of the internship will include an in-depth study of her personal strengths and gifts as well as mapping out a development plan for the second year of the internship to grow and refine some of her ministry strengths. She continues to seek out God's heart and listen to his calling on her life.
Ali requests prayer for:
- Relationship building and boldness with neighbors
- Unity among Servant Partners staff and fellow interns
- Growth and comfort in children's ministry
- Further development of spiritual disciplines
- Successful survey of personal talents and spiritual gifts
- Reliance on God’s timing, provision, and strength

We want to see every student transformed by the gospel. We love the hopefulness of college students and we believe that they can change the world.
Chad & Bekah request prayer for:
- Please pray for revival on college campuses in Denver
- Please pray that we would surface key student leaders on campuses where we currently have no presence
- For wisdom as we seek to reach ethnic minority students in the city
We are currently building our volunteer network in the city and would love for anyone interested in volunteering to contact us at chad.stewart@uscm.org. For more information please go to www.denvercru.org.

We are preparing to partner with the church in Mozambique to help develop younger church leaders in the emerging generation. Many people recognize that the continent of Africa faces the enormous challenges of disease, poverty, and lack of infrastructure. However, the greatest challenge for Africa is a lack of leadership - even in the African church.
Dave plans to work with existing church leaders who have little to no resources and help develop their skill sets and vision in partnering with other Mozambican church leaders. He hopes to develop a number of businesses that can help to financially sustain local pastors and provide needed products and services for those struggling inside the church.
Amy plans to partner with children’s workers inside of orphanages, schools, and the government, to act as an advocate for the over 10 million Mozambicans who are under the age of 18. She hopes to help train children’s workers in areas of child development, and help establish adoption and foster care options that will help alleviate.
Dave & Amy request prayer for:
- Ask God that we would quickly finish raising our necessary funds so that we can leave
- Ask God that our time of saying goodbye to friends and family would be sweet
- Ask God to loosen our tongues and our minds so we can learn Portuguese
- Ask God to watch over our transition to Mozambique

Chris and Leanne DeRemer met at the University of Colorado at Boulder (Go Buffs!) and have been married since 2008. We are committed with Asian Hope until 2013 and ask for your prayer and support as we serve in these ministries and enjoy living in Cambodia.

- Protection physically from illness, and safety while driving and traveling
- Wisdom and guidance from the Lord as we make decisions for our ministries, and also for the growth of the gospel in Cambodia
- Reliance on the Lord and strength in our marriage
