Small Groups
We believe that small groups can be a great place to begin making friends; building trust; and growing in love, knowledge, and experience of God, which leads to transformation.
Small groups are organized around DCC's five core practices and are 12-15 weeks in length.

Stories
Our small group came to be because we all had a heart for pursuing the idea of living in community. We were all raised hearing about journeying with others, but it never seemed to work well because no one lived in close proximity. So, we asked the question: What if we all lived within a few square blocks? What would it look like to "do life" together then? We liked the idea, so we did it. 4 out of the 6 families in our small group moved within a few blocks of each other. We now share a lawn mover, other tools, etc. We watch each others' kids and are able to connect and share life together unscheduled because of our geographic proximity. "Doing life" in this way has altered our small group. We, in fact, no longer call ourselves a small group. We call our group a family. Because living and sharing life in this way is much more like family than a group that meets weekly. It has been fun and an honor to share our journeys in this way... and I highly recommend trying to live life with others in this way. It is transformative!
