Mentoring

At DCC we have several expressions of "community life." These include weekend services, church-wide picnics, small groups, supper groups, larger communities (women, men, couples), volunteer teams, service teams, and more. Each of these aspects of DCC's community life is arranged around a "group" experience—small, medium and large. While all aspects of DCC's community life are intended to be platforms for individuals to find encouragement, spiritual growth and fellowship, one-to-one mentoring and discipleship relationships offer an individualized focus on one's personal and spiritual growth.

The mission of DCC is, among other things, to be a community that "journeys together."  It is our desire for mentoring within the DCC community to be an outlet for individuals to journey together in authentic relationships that encourage those involved to live in the ways of Jesus.

Mentoring is organized and supported by the Mentoring Team. The Mentoring Team's goal is to facilitate introductions (between mentors and mentees) and provide training and support for both mentors and mentees for nine months.
