Learning Communities
Learning communities are short-term classes. These classes vary from semester to semester and their format varies with each teacher.
Winter Semester 2012
Part Two: Numbers 13 through Deuteronomy 34
This two-part class will begin with Exodus and go through Deuteronomy. Starting with the birth of Moses through the death of Moses, as Israel is poised on the east bank of the Jordan River, the class will deal with Israel’s exodus from Egypt and their wanderings in the wilderness until they are ready to enter the Promised Land. The class will also look for applications for daily living. Applications will be plenty in the areas of interpersonal relationships, commitment, decision making, family relationships and the consequences of the choices we make, to name a few.
*You will need to register for each part separately.
*If you have any questions about this class please contact Don at donruththeworks@comcast.net.

Beth Moore – James: Mercy Triumphs MORNING CLASS
This class is for women and will use Beth Moore’s study of James to guide their time. Here’s a little more about this study:
Bible scholars compare James to the prophet Amos. In other ways James more closely resembles the Book of Proverbs than any New Testament book. Come along with Beth Moore on a journey to get to know both the man and the Book of James. You will never be the same again.
Topics in this study include: joy, hardship, faith, reversal of fortunes for rich and poor, wisdom, gifts from above, single-mindedness, the dangers of the tongue, humility, and prayer. Plus, Beth introduces a 5-tiered study approach that she has never done before.
- Dates: March 29 - May 24. No class May 3rd.
- Day of the week: Thursdays
- Time: 9:30 - 11:30am
- Location: DCC
- Registration
Childcare is provided.

Huddles and Missional Communities
The focus of Denver Community Church is to Journey together following Jesus and to demonstrate God's love to all people. We are in the process of introducing two additional ways to do this: Huddles (Disciple-marking Groups) and Missional Communities. Our prayer is that these will continue to help us move more deeply into authentic relationship with one another and create more intentional space for us to live as people of faith in our neighborhoods and everyday lives.
For 6 weeks, we will focus on some of the basic language and rhythms that make up the Huddles and participate in two mock Missional Communities.
- Dates: April 10 - May 15
- Day of the week: Tuesdays
- Time: 6 - 8pm
- Location: DCC
If you are interested in participating or for more information, please e-mail Jon: jgettings@denverchurch.org.
If you are in need of childcare, please let us know. Email Mandy: mandylester@denverchurch.org.
